Nate and Derek Go to the APP Conference
The Associaton of Professional Piercers annual conference is upon us!
Nate and Derek will be headed to Las Vegas to ge their learn on, from Sunday, June 16th through Friday, June 22nd.
Dont' fret....Jamie will be here holding down the piercing duties like the ninja he is...the really tall, easy-to-spot ninja with the giant earlobes.
If you're going to come in during that time, an appointment is a good idea. We will still be taking walk-ins, but if you come as a walk0in, please be patient. With only one piercer, during what is usually a busier time of the year, you may end up with a bit of await.
Or, you can just call us and set up an appointment: 612-874-7360.
As usual, we will be bring back tons of new amazing jewlery!
April 26, 2012
Guest piercer, Courtney!
We very excited to have Courtney Maxwell, from TRX Tattoos in St. Louis, at the shop as a guest piercer! She will be here from April 28 to May 1.
If you've been wanting to have a female piercer, or maybe you're just looking for a different experience than getting worked on by Jamie, Nate or Derek...this is a great opportunity!
You can call the studio to set up an appointment: 612-874-7360.

So long, Holly Bruneau!
We want to send out a big "Thank you!" and giant "Good luck!" to Holly Bruneau! After 5 years of fantastic work as one of our piercing/jewelry counter ninjas, today is her last day with us.
She's moving on to do, as she puts it, "big kid" stuff and we're very excited for the opportunities she has ahead of her.
Thanks for all the good stuff you've done at the shop over the past 5 years, Holly. We're going to miss you and we wish you the very best. Don't be a stranger!

Facebook "Places" is a Go!
After what felt like an eternity of dealing with the powers-that-be at Facebook, we finally got everything all set for our Facebook Places page. There are actually two Facebook Places pages that show up, so, if you are in the shop and want to check-in, be sure to use this page (the one where Saint is not abbreviated).
Let the check-ins begin!

Wanna save some money?
Well, we want you to save some money. So, we've come up with a pretty easy way to get a discount on your next piercing, tattoo or jewelry purchase. Here's how to make it happen:
Just head on over to Yelp, Citysearch or Google and leave us a review. Then, print out your review and bring it with you next time you come to the shop and we'll give you $10 off your piercing fee, 15% off a jewelry purchase or $25 off a tattoo.
Pretty simple and pretty awesome.
And, thanks in advance for the reviews!!!

Where has this summer gone? Okay, so it's not over yet, but it's sure flying by. I suppose the fact that it's been really busy at the shop probably has a lot to do with that flying time.
It's been a great summer for jewlery. We have gotten in (and sold) so many really amazing pieces the past few months. We are anxiously awaiting another order of gold pieces for noses, lips, ears, navels and other places. In addition, in the next week we will be getting in over 320 pairs of wood plugs. In. Sane.
On the tattooing front, the artists have been doing some really cool stuff this summer. We'll be putting up some new picks in the next week or two, so stay tuned!
We hope everyone has had a fantastic summer so far!

These are Nate's new eyelets. They are, for lack of any better words, freakin' amazing. 1-5/8" copper-colored titanium, super orbit gem eyelets with princess cut champagne stones.
The picture doesn't even begin to capture the blingtasticness.
July 15, 2010
We posted a new blog about scar tissue and how it affects redoing piercing you've had before. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Tattooing minors now illegal
As of today, it is now illegal to tattoo minors (under the age of 18) in the state of Minnesota.
In addition, body piercing and tattooing is now legislated everywhere in the state, not just a few select cities and counties.

Glass is the new glass
Early this week we re-upped our stock of colored glass plugs, colored glass eyelets and clear glass eyelets. All told, we got in right around 300 pairs of jewelry, including plugs from 12ga up to 1" and eyelets from 8ga up to 2".
We're REALLY excited about two new colors we got in glass plugs...rose and translucent sparkle blue. We also have some glass eyelets in a few sizes above 1"...they are the hotness.

Okay, so it's almost a month in to the new year, but relatively speaking, it's just beginning. We hope everyone survived the craziness of the holidays and that 2010 has been good to you so far.
We are busy tattooing and piercing the peoples, as usual. However, we did find time to write a quick blog update. We think it contains something pretty cool, so check it out when you get a chance.

Words and Pictures
We know this is a busy time of year for everyone. But, if you can squeeze a few minutes into your schedule, check out our newest blog entry, The Unfortunate Tattoo.
Also in the "Words" catogory, we just sent out our first email newsletter about a week ago. We hope to put these out about once-per-month...just enough so you don't forget us, but hopefully not so often that we annoy the crap out of you. If you are not already on our email list, but you want to be, just drop us a line and we will add you. You unsubscribe at any time.
Shifting from the world of words to the paradise of pictures, we added a few new pictures to Taylor's portfolio...specifically images 5, 6, 19 and 20.
Stll struggling with your holiday shopping? Remeber that a Saint Sabrina's gift certficate makes for a unique gift not soon to be forgotten, and they fit really nicely in stockings.
Keep in mind that you can always become a fan of Saint Sabrin'as on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Gift-Giving, Saint Sabrina's Style
Looking for unique and super-duper fantastically awesome gift ideas this year? We've get a couple of Epic Win ideas for you:
- Body jewelry is a unique and interesting gift to give those in your life sporting a piercing or two. Less obvious than a bracelet or necklace, but still something to help them dazzle and shine.
- It's pretty hard (trust us, we've tried) to gift-wrap a piercing or tattoo. That's where a Saint Sabrina's Gift Certificate saves the holiday season for you. No one is going to think "Oh gee, how lame...I get to pick out my very own piercing, tattoo or amazing body jewelry." It's just not gonna happen.
Don't let gift-giving stress you out this year.

You'll never guess what we're going to be for Halloween. That's an order!
Oh yeah...what we really wanted to say was that we wil be closing at 10pm today so we can don our favorite, too-small costumes and head out for our share of the candy treasure. And by candy we mean your candy. So you better have some for us.
That's an order!

Our Winter Defense
It seems Mother Nature is determined to unleash yet another winter upon us in the near future. Well, we won't just sit around and take it. No way.
We've started to combat winter already with the addtion of 290 pairs of new organic jewelry. Not to toot our horn (toot!), but most shops don't even carry 290 pairs of jewelry total.
Wood. Horn. Bone. Stone. Adamantium.
We even got a health selection of jewelry for non-stretched ears.
You'll see those piece start hitting the cases within a week...maybe sooner.

Like You've Never Seen Before

New Blog post
We finally got off our butts and put our web site blog to good (hopefully) use. As time goes on we will babble about all kinds of stuff...some of it shop-related, some of it piercing/tattoo-related and probably some of it completely unrelated.
At the moment, we've put a little ditty about things to consider when considering your tattoo design.

Jewelry as Far as the Eye Can See
So, we always try to have a ton of jewelry in-stock. Our selection is pretty much always unmatched. We may have outdone ourselves this time around.
Just to give you a little idea of what we're talking about:
- Over 350 pairs of glass plugs...both basic color fronts as well as more complex designs.
- Over 300 pairs of stone plugs
- Over 100 pairs of clear and colored glass eyelets
All of these gorgeous pieces are out and ready to start living a happy new life in your ears.
In addition, we are currently working on putting out several hundred new pairs of great designs in stainless steel, silver, gold, bone, wood, stone, horn, smokin' hot fossilized walrus bone and kryptonite.
Many of these designs we've never had before and we're not sure we'll have them again.
We've going ot try and showcase some of the pieces here, but you should check out our Myspace and Facebook pages in the upcoming week for more picture. Or ya know, you could do something crazy like come into the studio and see the stuff in person. Like, whoa.

Jesika = California
After a little over 7 years as part of the Saint Sabrina's crew, Jesika is nearing the end of her time with us. She is leaving the artic tundra of Minnesota and heading for the sunny shores of California. It turns out she has a thing for high prices, earthquakes and the excitement that goes along with living in a state that is probably going to break off the continent and fall into the ocean.
We wish Jesika all the luck in the world as she heads into her new life adventure. If her arrival in California is anything like her arrival here, they won't know what hit them. But they'll be able to get some pretty sweet piercings.
Jesika's last day on her full-time schedule will be February 14th. We anticipate she will be putting in a few days here and there into the first couple of weeks of March, but you'll need to call the studio about that as the time gets closer.
Good luck in California, Jesika. Thank you for 7 years of hard work. We'll miss you.

We will re-open at 11am on Tuesday, January 6.
And remember, time is running out.

Give the Gift of Choice
This holiday season, the last thing you want to do is spend your hard-earned money on a gift for someone they might not like... you wanna get the most bang for your buck.
It's been scientifically-proven* that Saint Sabrina's gift certificates are the perfect cure for your holiday gift-giving jitters. You don't have to worry about take-backs, do-overs or bouts of crushing disappointment. Your friend, loved-one or esteemed colleague will be able to pick out exactly what they want.
Available in any amount you like. Available for any of the services or products we offer.
Not to mention, chances are good it will be a way cooler gift than the package of tube socks their grandma is going to get them.
* Uhhh, maybe that part isn't exactly true
December 1, 2008

In case you missed it elsewhere on the site, we will be closed tomorrow for the glutton-fest know as Thanksgiving. To all our dear friends and clients we would like to say this...please don't rupture any internal organs by eating ridiculous amounts of food.
Other than that...enjoy the day!
You say the nicest things
It's not uncommon that we get emails from clients who had a really great piercing or tattoo experience. We've decided to start sharing a few of them from time-to-time.
I came in yesterday to get my helix pierced, and I just want to say how impressed and pleased I was with the experience! It was my first time getting a "good" piercing, as opposed to one done at a mall with a gun, and now I know I'll never go back to that! Everything was clean, the employees were helpful, and my piercer was caring and knowledgeable. (Thanks Nate! Good luck finding a Boston Terrier!) I will never hesitate to recommend Saint Sabrina's to a friend; you guys took great care of me! And I'm sure I'll be coming back for more. :-)
Thaks for the kind words, Myranda.
Feel free to send us an email about your piercing or tattoo exprience.
November 11 , 2008
You've probably been laying awake at night wondering who we were going to bring in to replace Claudia, now that she is going to do her tattoo thing in Austin, Texas. Fear not, dear reader, for your nights of insomnia and anxious contemplation can now come to an end.
We are very excited to introduce JonBoy as the newest addition to our tattooing staff.
All of Jon's information, including pictures of his work, will be up on the web site pretty soon. Until then, you can check out his Myspace page (above), or you can check out his web site: www.jonboytattoo.com
You can always swing by the shop and check out his portfolio and meet him face-to-face if you like.
He packs a whole lot of nice into a little package.

You thought we had jewelry before
We've been in the business of having a ginormous jewelry selection for a long, long time. Some will claim they have more jewelry, but it just isn't so. Anyway, we may have outdone ourselves this time around.
For the past couple of months we have been getting in order after order of jewelry. We have no more room for orgnaic jewelry in our cases...but we've got more waitnig to go in. Just earlier this week we got in 400 pairs (that's not a typo)) of glass plugs. Yesterday we got in a giant order of white and yellow gold jewelry, including some nostril pieces that will blow your mind. We are also still the exclusive Twin City supplier of all varieties of Anatometal Gem Eyelets.
In the unlikely event we don't have what you're looking for, we can almost certainly order it for you.
Some of them there tattoos
We just added 4 new pictures to Bleach's portfolio. You can find the new stuff at the end of his gallery.

Here comes the bride
We will be closed, all day Saturday, September 6, 2008. We know it sucks, but someone very important (a.k.a., The Owner) is getting married that day. So, we're shutting down the shop, putting on our best tropical attire and we're going to help shuffle her off into marital bliss.
We will re-open at noon (regular time) on Sunday, September 7, 2008.
June 24, 2008
Quiet but not slacking
Wow, it's been almost a month since we've updated. Lame on us.
Our lack of updating isn't due to laziness, in fact, it's just the opposite of that...things have been really busy around here. Sorry we haven't had time to stay in touch.
We have added a couple of new items to the web site since our last update:
In the not-so-distant future we'll be revamping the look of
our blog and adding a link to it in our main navigation. Once this happens you'll see us updating it much more regularly with all sorts of things piercing and tattooing related...or just stuff we think is cool.
What's your favorite book?
Of course the answer is Facebook. Check out our new Facebook page.
We'd love it if you added yourself as a fan.
We hope you are having a great summer so far!
May 31 , 2008
We're not talking about any cheesy costume rhinestones, either. This week was the arrival of about ten amazing new navel pieces from the artists at Body Vision. We received a mix of white and yellow gold pieces, with gemstones including cubic zirconia, tanzanite, genuine opals, genuine garnets and of course, genuine diamonds.
It's summertime...which is the perfect time to put something extraordinary in your navel piercing.
Are You Looking At Our Glass?
This week also included the arrival of an absolutely huge order of glass color front plugs. We are talking hundreds and hundreds of pairs...everything from 12 gauge on up to 1" in a whole variety of colors.
Glass is a great option for stretching your lobes as well as being super comfortable in general. Oh...and it costs a lot less than many other materials, which is pretty sweet too.

Best of City Pages
The folks at City Pages named us the "Best Tattoo Parlor" in their 2008 Best Of issue. We've received this distinction a number of times over the past 10 years. It's always a nice bit of recognition for the effort everyone at the studio puts into providing the best tattooing and body piercing services possible.

What Happens in Vegas...
Sunday is the day that Derek, Jake and Jesika leave for Las Vegas for the APP conference. While they're gone, our newest piercer, Nate, will be handling all the piercing duties in his typical expert fashion.
We will have slightly reduced piercing hours that/next week...Nate will be in the shop from 1pm to 10pm each day.
Organic Jewelry Everywhere
Carrying the largest selection of high-quality jewelry has been our "thing" for years and years...organic jewelry is no exception.
Head over to our blog to find out more about the mother-load of organic jewelry we just got in.
April 3 , 2008
The APP Conference Cometh
Jesika, Jake and Derek will all be headed to Las Vegas from April 20-25, to attend the Associaion of Professional Piercers Annual Conference. This conference is a huge continuing education opportunity that all of our piercers look forward to every year. A week in Vegas isn't so bad either.
Oh yeah...they'll be bringing back a crap-ton of amazing jewelry with them as well.
Jamie = Seattle
Our beloved piercer Jamie Clark will be leaving glorious Minneapolis soon to start his new life in Seattle. We're not sure if it's his love of rain or his love of grunge that is taking him to Seattle, but we wish him the best. We know all of his client will miss him greatly. Thanks for three great years, Jamie.
Jesika is Back!
Jesika has returned from her trip to Mexico...much tanner and more relaxed-looking than ever before. She is back in the shop as of today, so stop in and see her. We know she's missed you.
March 8 , 2008
Saint Sabrina's Blog
It's been a while since we've updated. Trust us, we've missed you just as much as you've missed us. In an attempt to get better about keeping in touch, we've decided to start our very own dedicated blog.
We will still post smaller updates here, of course.
Those of you familiar with our Myspace page have been reading our blogs for a while. The new blog will allow everybody to see what is going on at the shop. It will also allow us to talk a little more in-depth about various topics that we just don't have the space for here. For our first entry, we're talking a little bit about the important of high-quality jewelry and the very real dangers that can accompany buying low-quality jewelry.
We hope you'll visit the new blog regularly and leave some comments.
New Tattoo Pictures
While winter is typically the slower season for tattoos, you'd never know it by the amount of work our artists have been turning out.
It's true that we get new jewelry in pretty regularly. However, the past couple of months has seen our stock of jewelry increase A LOT. The order of glass plugs we got in a couple of weeks ago is the biggest we've had yet ...well over 300 pairs, including basic color front plugs, Planet Plugs, Galaxy Plugs, Koosh Plugs, Opal Metallic Plugs and more.
We recently got a huge influx of organic jewelry as wel...horn, bone, wood, shell and stone. We have so much in fact, we haven't even gotten it all out yet. When you stop in, feel free to ask to see the stuff we haven't put out yet. We're happy to show it to you.
January 5, 2008
Oh the new year...Oh 15 years!
Another year is upon us. As always we look back fondly on the previous year and we look forward to what this new year has to offer. We'll save you a boring recap of what important things happened around the studio this past year.
However, we would like to say thank you to all of our wonderful clients. It's you guys that inspire us to constantly strive to expland our knowledge, skills and experience.
Speaking of experience, this years marks the 15th year in business for Saint Sabrina's. That one is a little hard for us to wrap our heads around...so we'll just leav e it at that for now.
We hope everyone had a great New Year and we hope 2008 brings you amazing new experiences. We'll be bringing you some amazing new body jewelry, as well as new tattoo work, so keep checking back.

It's Crunch Time!!!!
So look, you've got 3 days...3 days... to get your shopping done. That's not alot of time to come up with a cool, not-gonna-make-them-cringe gift. Fortunately, we've got you covered.
Available in any amount you like. Available for any of the services or products we offer.
Not to mention, chances are good it will be a way cooler gift than the package of tube socks their grandma is going to get them.
Looking for a unique piece of jewelry to give as a gift? We just got in over 180 pairs of bone, horn, shell and stone jewelry. Most of this stuff hasn't even hit the display cases yet, but don't hestiate to come in and ask to see it.

More colored glass than your church
What's that you say? Your church has no colored glass? Well, it sounds like it's time for you to get a new church, fella. Or, you could just stop in and check out the 280+pairs of color-front glass plugs we just got in. It might take us a couple of days to get them all out, but as always, feel free to ask to see them.
Here's a very small sampling of the deliciousness. Looks like you got a little drool on your keyboard.
Blinded by the light
We apologize in advance if you are blinded by the bling the next time you are in the shop. We recently scored 30 pairs of gem eyelets, super bling gem plugs and single-gem plugs from Anatometal.
As you can no doubt imagine, these pictures don't even begin to do these beauties justice. You can see some better pictures on the Anatometal web site. Or...the more logical choice would be to just come into the shop and see these in person.
You won't be sorry...but you might be mesmerized.
Did we mention you can't get these anywhere in the Twin Cities besides Saint Sabrina's?

29 + 115 = Awesome!
We're not big fans of math either, but in this case it's pretty okay.
First of all, let us explain the equation...29 is the number of pairs of wood plugs we just got in stock and 115 is the number of pairs of various horn, bone, wood, shell and stone jewelry we got in the other day.
No matter how you do the math, it adds up to awesome.
To illustrate this complex concept, here are a few charts and diagrams...otherwise known as pictures:
Wood...from 8ga up to 5/8"
In case you didn't notice the awesome pair of wood plugs with the butterfly inlays
Even though we also got a lot of bone, horn and shell jewelry, we've chosen to razzle-dazzle you with stone...because it's just so darned sexy.
Left to Right: Jasper, Indian Jade, Jasper and Carnelian

The coloring on these Jasper Spiral Hoops is amazing
We haven't put this jewelry out in the cases yet, but feel free come in and ask to see it...and snatch it up before everyone else does.

Ikea <3 Saint Sabrina's
A while back we mentioned that Ikea had been at the studio doing a little filming for their small business web site. Even though it has taken longer than we were orignally told it would, you can now check out the the video they put together about us.
While the video is pretty cool, we're definitely happier behind a piecing needle or a tattoo machine than in front of camera.

The jewelry...it just won't stop
Try as we might to control the flood of jewelry constantly coming into the shop, we just can't. Okay, so the truth is, we actually "kind of" encourage the flood waters of high-quality, 100% Certified Awesome, jewelry to keep rollin' in.
Here are a couple snappy's of some small-gauge (14ga, 12ga and 10ga) ear spirals we just got in. These things have a great shape and a polish that'll straight-up blind you.
These next two pictures are just a bit of a teaser. In the next week, we will be putting out a serious amount of new organic jewelry from our incredible friends at Tawapa. The new stuff will be made of bone, horn, shell, stone, wood and silver. And when we say "serious amount", we mean enough stuff to make you weep.
And here's a close-up of one particular pair that can be found in the bags you see above...gorgeous Tiger Eye plugs:

Ti Spi? Ti Spi? What the heck is Ti Spi? We're so glad you asked. Ti Spi is our not-so-clever name for the amazingly beautiful new Titanium Spirals (Get it? Got it? Goooood.) we just got in from Anatometal.
As the Twin Citie's only authorized Anatometal distributor, you won't find these babies just anywhere.
We currently have them in stock from 18 gauge up to 8 gauge in high-polish (silver-colored) and a variety of other colors. There are 16 colors to choose from and if we don't happen to have the color you want in the size you need, we can order it and have within a week.
Here are a few pictures to give you a hint of the awesomeness of which we speak:
8ga Titanium "Blurple" spirals
High Polish, Teal, Black and Blurple Spirals
Warning: Piercing Techno-Speak Folows!!!
The black spirals you see are actually not made of Titanium. They are made of a material called Niobium, which is almost identical to Titanium in terms of its bio-compatibility. Titanium can not be made black easily, the way niobium can, through a heating and cooling process.
